Working with Purple Tuesday

December 2024

We have been supporting Purple Tuesday for the last three years and this year we were delighted to be at the launch of the global celebrations in Piccadilly Circus and watch the screens light up with Purple Tuesday’s core messages.

Purple Tuesday is a global social movement for improving the customer experience for disabled people and their families and is celebrated every November.   Our pledge this year was to improve the disability awareness training of our team. To achieve this, we held a Lunch & Learn webinar hosted by Purple Tuesday on Disability Awareness & Customer Service. It was both informative and insightful with everyone gaining a lot from this learning experience that we will be able to apply to our everyday processes and procedures.

As sponsors we were also able to attend the Purple Tuesday Disabled Customer Summit in December.  The theme of the summit was “The Disabled Customer Journey” and we listened intently to the advice of various business leaders and accessibility experts whilst actively taking part in discussions to find solutions to the barriers facing disabled people on their customer journey.

We are committed to making our customer experiences even more accessible and plan to do further customer service and disability training in the next 12 months as our commitment to Purple Tuesday 2025.
