Showing our support for Purple Tuesday

On 1^st November we were delighted to take part in various activities to show our support for Purple Tuesday.

Purple Tuesday is a global social movement for improving the customer experience for disabled people and their families. Companies taking part have to make one commitment to improve their accessibility and practice, implement the improvement and join the global celebrations on 1st November 2022.  Kindred committed to provide disability confidence training for our employees.

On the day everyone was encouraged to wear purple and we decorated our head office in purple balloons and bunting. Staff also took part in a Purple Quiz where we not only had fun but also increased our knowledge of disability issues.

Kindred is dedicated to making our company an inclusive place to work. We are proud to announce that we have achieved our Disability Confident Employer Status. The Disability Confidence Scheme is led by the Government with the aim being to help employers think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.
